Menopause & Healthy Aging
Aging deserves care, dignity, and community — not isolation or invisibility.
Menopause & Healthy Aging
Accessible, Dignified Wellness Across the Lifespan
At Majestic Community Wellness, we offer trauma-informed, culturally grounded mental health and wellness programs that support women and older adults through midlife transitions, menopause, and healthy aging.
Our Menopause & Healthy Aging programs are rooted in the belief that aging deserves care, dignity, and community — not isolation or invisibility. Classes are offered free of charge in trusted community settings and at The Foundry in Cambridge, reducing barriers to access while honoring lived experience.
Wellness That Honors the Aging Body
Menopause & Healthy Aging programming is an integral part of MCW's Pathways to Thriving initiative — supporting women across the full lifespan from fertility and postpartum through midlife and healthy aging.
Classes emphasize:
Gentle, accessible movement to support strength, balance, and mobility
Breathwork and grounding practices to reduce stress reactivity
Support for mood changes, sleep challenges, and fatigue
Trauma-informed pacing with options for all bodies and abilities
Participants are never asked to push, perform, or compare. Instead, they are invited to move with awareness, choice, and self-compassion.
Culturally Grounded, Community-Centered Care
Menopause & Healthy Aging programs are guided by the Majestic Healing Pathways™ model and led by trauma-informed instructors who hold space with care, respect, and cultural humility.
Aging is not framed as something to "fix," but as a meaningful stage of life to be supported with dignity.
Black women and women of color experience menopause differently — often with more severe symptoms, less clinical support, and greater barriers to culturally responsive care. Research consistently shows that Black women are less likely to have their menopause symptoms taken seriously by healthcare providers and more likely to experience the transition with inadequate support.
MCW's Menopause & Healthy Aging programs specifically center the experiences of Black women and women of color — ensuring that midlife wellness is as culturally affirming, accessible, and community-rooted as all of MCW's programming. Care should feel familiar, not foreign. Affirming, not clinical. And always — free.
Classes foster:
A sense of safety and belonging
Opportunities for connection and conversation
Reduced isolation during aging and life transitions
Community care rooted in shared wisdom and mutual support
Culturally Grounded, Community-Centered Care
