Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.
— The Bhagavad Gita
At Majestic Community Wellness, we believe healing is a right, not a privilege.
Our 200-hour trauma-informed yoga teacher training is more than a certification — it's a doorway into community-based mental health care. Over ten months, you'll learn to teach movement and mindfulness as a form of healing, and you'll be prepared to bring that care directly to the people and neighborhoods who need it most.
This is training with a destination. Our graduates don't just leave with a credential — many step into paid roles as Community Wellness Educators, joining a team that delivers free, trauma-informed care to more than 1,500 people every year across Greater Boston.
Whether you want to teach, deepen your practice, or grow into a leader in your community, this journey offers in-depth training, ongoing mentorship, and a network that will walk beside you long after graduation.
What Makes This Training Unique
Trauma-Informed & Inclusive — A safe, affirming space for all identities, bodies, and abilities.
A Real Path to Paid Work — Graduates can join MCW as Community Wellness Educators, teaching in our programs at competitive rates.
• Grounded in Mental Health Care — Movement and mindfulness taught as community-based mental health support, informed by our training partnership with Boston College's counseling psychology doctoral program.
• Weekly 1-on-1 Mentorship — Personalized support during training and beyond.
• Hybrid Format — Attend in person or online, with all sessions recorded.
• Somatic Education Integration — Ancient wisdom meets modern science.
More Than a Certification — A Path Into the Work
When you train with MCW, you're not training in isolation. You're joining a movement.
Our Community Wellness Educators — a team of predominantly BIPOC teachers — deliver free, trauma-informed movement and mindfulness care at 10 to 12 partner sites across Greater Boston. They lead programs like:
• Aging Gracefully — movement and connection for older adults
• Black & BIPOC Women's Yoga — healing spaces led by and for our communities
• Menopause & Healthy Aging — support through life's transitions
• Youth Wellness & Mental Health — care for the next generation
This training is the front door to that work. You'll graduate ready not only to teach, but to serve — and for those who join our team, to be paid for the care you bring to your own community.
Mentorship: The Heart of Our Program
At MCW, our trainees are seen, heard, and supported every step of the way. Monthly individual mentoring helps you:
